How do I become a Facilitator?
Facilitators are required to take two courses: Introduction to The Virtues Project - Bringing Virtues to Life (12 hours) and the Facilitator Training Program (18 hours). You will purchase a Facilitator Manual as part of your training. When you complete the Facilitator Training Program, you will receive a certificate from the Master Facilitator who trained you. The Master Facilitator will contact VPIA (Virtues Project International Association) Operations to initiate your registration as a Virtues Project facilitator.
What does a Master Facilitator do?
Offers training for both the 12-hour Introduction to The Virtues Project™ and the 18-hour Facilitator Training Program with excellence.
Trains new Facilitators following The Virtues Project Leadership Manual (a new Master Facilitator Manual will replace the Training Manual in 2022).
Registers new Facilitators to the IAC (International Advisory Council) database of global Facilitators using the New Facilitator Registration Form.
How do I become a Master Facilitator?
There are four key components to becoming a Master Facilitator:
1. You must be registered in the IAC (International Advisory Council) database as a Virtues Project Facilitator. If not already registered, click here.
2. It is highly recommended that you seek a Master Facilitator to act as your mentor. This person will eventually submit the Nomination Form on your behalf.
3. You will assist and lead in offering the 12-hour Introduction to The Virtues Project™ course on several occasions.
4. You will collect feedback from participants and use the 'Teachable Moments' to guide your developing skills as a Facilitator. Refer to the Guidelines to Become a Master Facilitator for complete information.
As a Master Facilitator, I have been training new facilitators. How do I register them with VPIA (Virtues Project International Association)?
All new facilitators should be registered by the Master Facilitator who trained them using the New Facilitator Registration Form. Please contact iac@virtuesproject.com for the form.

Where do I find a Facilitator to offer a workshop? Where do I find a Master Facilitator to offer a Facilitator Training Program?
At this time, please contact the IAC Vice Chairperson with the name of the workshop you are seeking and the time zone where you live to assist you IAC Vice Chairperson. When the Facilitator Portal opens, Facilitators and Master Facilitators will be able to post their course offerings on The Virtues Project™ website.

I am creating materials to supplement The Virtues Project™. How do I obtain permission to use the VPIA (Virtues Project International Association) logo?

I would like to translate existing The Virtues Project™ materials into my local language. Whom do I contact?
All translations of the core materials are to be translated using the original English products created by Linda Kavelin-Popov and Dr. Dan Popov.

What is meant by ‘Body of Work”?
”The Body of Work of The Virtues Project™ includes, but is not limited to: the principles, practices, and strategies of The Virtues Project™; the words and images used in presentations by Linda Kavelin-Popov and Dr. Dan Popov; the logos and trademarks associated with The Virtues Project™; the books, Virtues Card decks, posters, brochures, and all other physical or electronic materials produced for or by Virtues Project International Association (VPIA); and all other copyrighted material produced under license to VPIA. The Body of Work includes translations or further development of all existing Virtues Project™ related training manuals and materials.
Who holds the publishing rights to The Virtues Project™ core materials?
Rights to The Family Virtues Guide, A Pace of Grace and The Virtues Project Educator’s Guide are held by third-parties. Initiatives that involve these three publications will need to be negotiated with the holders of those rights. Translation Rights to The Virtues Project Educator's Guide (TVPEG) for languages other than English, are owned by VPIA - you will need to contact VPIA regarding translating TVPEG. All rights to Graceful Endings and Sacred Moments are owned by Virtues Project International Association (VPIA). If you wish to translate Graceful Endings or Sacred Moments into a language other than English, please contact VPIA for authorization and guidance.
What authorization do I need to translate, adapt, use or incorporate the Body of Work?
In order to support the work of The Virtues Project™, you will need VPIA authorization to translate, adapt, use or incorporate any portion of the Body of Work (as defined above) in your development. In order to maintain the integrity of the Body of Work, VPIA shall determine who may make use of the Body of Work and the rules that will govern that use. This will be established in a mandatory Licensing Agreement (an agreement that outlines what you may do, any conditions associated with what you plan to do, and any remuneration due to VPIA from you for allowing you to make use of the Body of Work of The Virtues Project™).
How do I obtain authorization to translate, adapt, use or incorporate the Body of Work?
Your First Step: Please contact: productsandservices@virtuesproject.com for any questions you may have about using the Body of Work of The Virtues Project™. Please share as much information as you can about how you would like to use the Body of Work. We will do our best to guide and support you. Be specific by naming the book, card deck or material specifically. Provide an example if available.
VPIA recognizes the value of having others easily use the Body of Work of The Virtues Project™ in new and creative ways. Contacting Products and Services ensures that this process and resulting agreements are defined by clear boundaries and protected within a legal framework.

Licensing Agreements
Under what circumstances do I need a licensing agreement to produce materials related to The Virtues Project™?
VPIA requires that a licensing agreement be in place before products are developed and distributed that use The Virtues Project Body of Work in any form or format. Send a simple request by email to productsandservices@virtuesproject.com to let us know what you would like to do with the Body of Work: whether it is a commercial or non-commercial endeavor and what level of support and/or endorsement you would like to have. You will be contacted regarding further information about requirements and expectations depending upon your request.
Use your own words or quote the words of the Body of Work exactly. To minimize the potential for confusion and plagiarism, avoid mixing the words of the Body of Work with your own words. While both may be used in the same material, any direct quotation from the Body of Work must include appropriate attribution.
How do I acknowledge The Virtues Project™ when I create materials?
If your application is your own creation based on The Virtues Project™ (TVP), you are asked to acknowledge TVP, and we will provide you with information to acknowledge TVP, such as, a tag or label that states, “Inspired by The Virtues Project™ www.virtuesproject.com” or “With permission of Virtues Project International Association www.virtuesproject.com”. We highly recommend that you contact us to verify what does and does not require a licensing agreement. With this contact, we may also be able to offer ways to bring more visibility to your Virtues Project related endeavors.
Note: If your application(s) involve(s) quoting or incorporating more than a paragraph of the Body of Work, a licensing agreement will be required
