After conducting programs in community health and education for almost 20 years, Barbara was drawn to The Virtues Project when she saw its transformational impact on people from children and parents, to educators, counselors and healing professionals. Since becoming a facilitator in 1996, Barbara has conducted numerous Virtues Project training' and workshops for schools, churches, retreat centers and the general public. Using the strategies of The Virtues Project along with expressive arts, meditation, guided imagery and yoga, Barbara has created courses on Sharing the Sacred. These classes offer participants an opportunity to discover the spirituality in their everyday lives. With a Master's Degree in Public Health, Barbara has more than 15 years experience as a facilitator, a trainer, and in program development, in both domestic and international health and adult education. Former clients include: IBM, Pepsi-Cola, Sahara Girl Scouts Council, Pascua Yaqui Tribe, Arthritis Foundation, Arizona State Department of Education, Acclaim Charter School, Children's Success Academy, Intergroup of Arizona, Southern Arizona Mental Health Corporation, Lupus Foundation of America, Tucson Aids Project and Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
In evaluations from workshop participants, Barbara's workshops have been called illuminating, life changing and inspiring. She is cited for her love, her humor, her insight and her capacity to honor each person.
