www.virtuestraining.com Betsy Lydle Smith has been a Virtues Project Facilitator since 1992 and has
conducted Virtues Project workshops and training for schools, organizations,
individuals, and families in Washington, Montana, Texas, California, and
Canada.
An educator, Betsy is the founder and former director of ArtStar
Association, a nonprofit arts education organization in Bellevue,
Washington. As a certificated K-12 teacher, Betsy has over 25 years of
experience in
education, training, and facilitation. She has successfully used The Virtues
Project strategies in her own classroom in teaching jr. high and high school
students, and in working with elementary school students. She has seen her
students become more responsible, caring, respectful, tolerant, and peaceful
by using The Virtues Project strategies.
Betsy is a wife and mother of two grown daughters and has found Virtues
Project concepts and strategies invaluable in family, personal and
professional
relationships. She has a gift of making workshops understandable, usable,
personally enriching, and fun.
Clients have included: Public and private schools in WA, MT, TX, CA;
Washington State Partnership on Character Education, Seattle, WA; U.S. Job
Corps, YMCA's, Girl Scouts-Totem Council, Seattle, WA; Faith communities in
WA and CA.
Betsy's presentations, workshops and trainings include "Creating a Culture
of
Character in Our Schools,"Awakening the Virtues Within: Introduction to The
Virtues Project," "Virtues Project Facilitator Training," "Building Strong
Families" parenting classes, "Living From Your Core," women's retreats,"The
Art of Deep Listening," for business, "On My Honor," and "Ethics and
Excellence" for organizations, and "Nurturing Your Relationship," couples
retreats facilitated with her husband Peter Smith.
